I'm Donald, a 65-year-old poet from Northern New York. My disability led me to early retirement, but it also gave me the time to write. I find beauty in memories and strength in emotion.
My Story
Before life slowed me down, I loved hiking, photography, and the great outdoors. But as my disability progressed, those joys slipped away. What remained was the need to express, to reflect—and so I found poetry. Writing became my path to healing and meaning.
What I Write
I write rhyming poems with meter and music—verses that speak from the heart. My poems explore sorrow, joy, faith, and resilience. They echo life’s ordinary moments and deep emotions. If you've ever loved, lost, or longed, I believe you’ll find a home in my words.
